The upcoming Porsche Cayenne has been caught on camera by the guys over at Autocar, just a few months before its official launch at the Geneva Auto Show in March. The photos, strangely unlike many other spy shots come “unwrapped“, and reveals the car in its entirety [almost] . The pics also reveals that the new Porsche Cayenne looks quite similar to its current model which is based on the chassis of the Volkswagen Touareg.

The pictures show an improvement over the current Cayenne – a more elegant front end with a tad bit sleeker hood, and with much less emphasis given on the curves. It comes with smaller air intakes that are kind of tucked inwards, and a slightly modified headlamps. The new Cayenne is believed to have reduced around 170kg, despite its wider wheelbase.

AutoCar also reports tat the new Porsche Cayenne has gotten rid of some of the previous models standard off-road kit which includes the low-range gearbox and locking rear differential, and instead comes with a mode advanced traction system. The interior seems to have undergone some modifications as well, with the Cayenne seemingly getting an upgrade with the Panamera Saloon’s steering wheel.
