The engine and suspension changes make the N2010 far more competitive,” said Graham Prew, Prodrive sales manager. “On gravel the Impreza is certainly a match for any Super 2000, but it is on tarmac, that the additional engine performance will really come into its own and make the N2010 a competitive alternative to the Super 2000, but at about half the price and with significantly lower running costs.” Prew concluded.

The Impreza flaunts an array of performance upgrades which includes an IHI twin scroll turbocharger with a new and larger 33mm air restrictor, high flow fuel injectors, a motor sport catalyst and a re-worked ECU module resulting in a 20-bhp increase in the 2.0-liter boxer engine’s power, more torque, and increased responsiveness. It comes with improved Ohlin dampers with extra travel front and rear and stronger suspension brushes besides an FIA compliant roll cage and high performance AP racing brakes.

The Subaru Impreza N2010, the latest Group N rally car comes at a price tag of 120,000 UK Pounds or about 196,000 US dollars at today’s exchange rates with an enticing financing offer for buyers – a two-year lease with the option to buy the rally-prepped car at the end of the agreement, and insurance and rebuilds as part of the package.
