Renault to Unveil All-New Clio Mk4 Ahead of Paris Motor Show Debut

The next-generation of the Clio supermini by Renault will make its debut online on July 3, Tuesday. The date of its debut is the same as the new MP4-12C Spider by McLaren.

Renault has not revealed any official information about the Clio so far. The spy photos disclose the design of the new model. The fourth-generation, five-door model will feature a sharper design. It will consist of hidden rear-door handles to create the allusion of a three-door hatch. Renault’s new model will have competition with the latest Ford Fiesta and Peugeot 208 B-segment models. It will make its debut at the 2012 Paris Motor Show, end of September.

The new car comes in three different models. The first one is powered by a 0.9-L turbocharged three-cylinder petrol engine which produces 89 hp. The 1.2-L turbo petrol produces about 115 hp. Also the company is expected to produce a racy RenaultSport (RS) version which is expected to be powered by 1.6-L turbocharged engine delivering 200 hp.
