Renault Wind to Debut at Geneva Motor Show
The French automaker, Renault, has taken the wraps off its latest coupe roadster, the Renault Wind . The brand new hard-top convertible based on Renault’s Twingo hatchback, is an innovative two-door cruiser in the compact coupe/convertible segment.
Ahead of its Geneva Motor Show unveiling next month, Renault has revealed the first pictures and some teaser specs of its unique new coupe roadster. Driving through the busy roads with your hair blowing in the wind, the Renault Wind is intended to be a nimble little four-wheeler made just for you and the city streets. The coupe roadster measures 150.8 inches in length and can carry up to two people. With its 270-litre boot capacity the car can also be used for longer distances, while the time taken by the roof for transforming the coupe into a convertible is just 12 seconds.
The pleasurable experience of the Renault Wind can be attributed to a turbocharged four-cylinder engine that displaces just 1.2-liters and delivers 100 horsepower to shoot the Wind from 0-60 mph in 11 second.
While the French automaker has not revealed a lot more information about the new Renault Wind, we hope to hear more when the Wind takes the Geneva stage on March 2. It is rumored that the Wind will go on sale in the UK later this summer, with prices starting at £16,100. Until then, have a closer look at the Renault Wind in the trailer here.
