SNL Fakes Ford & Takes a Shot at Toyota’s Miseries

At first glance, it might seem like Ford has finally decided to take advantage of Toyota’s recent woes and aired a commercial that portrays just how dangerous the Toyota Prius can be. But in reality it’s the folks over at NBC’s Saturday Night Live doing what they’re best at – spoofing, this time the ill-fated unintended acceleration issue that has plagued Toyota recently. The hilarious spook sure wont go down well with the guys over at Toyota, but Ford’s not the kind to complain at this kind of free press.

In an apparent reference to the run-away Prius incident of San Diego resident James Sikes, they show a run-away Toyota Prius (in the woods), complete with a 911 call and SNL-style swearing.

Voice Over - “When you travel, you always make sure its in harmony with the environment

Male – “I cant slow down… I cant slow down…”

Female – “Step on the brakes….

Male – “The brakes… What do you think i didn’t try that. Get the police on the phone
