Spied at Nürburgring: The 2012 Nissan GT-R Undisguised
A few undisguised 2012 Nissan GT-R cars have been spied taking the rounds on a wet Nürburgring track, and we noticed a few modifications to the model.
Though the 2012 Nissan GT-R will not be unveiled at the Paris Motor Show this time, it is believed that a few select dignitaries will get the chance to feast their eyes upon the 2012 model at a close range. And if it were not for a few alert members of the North American GT-R Owners Club, we might not have had the opportunity to watch this beauty without the heavy make-up we usually see unrevealed models in.
The new GT-R will be getting a facelift with a nice front bumper which will raise the car’s aerodynamic performance to 0.272 from the former 0.268; a rear diffuser and rear underspoiler reduce drag while increasing downforce, enhanced suspensions, brakes, wheels and tires. The 2012 Godzilla will also house a new twin turbo V6 which will deliver more than 500 hp and 448 lb-ft of torque.
Light-wise, Nissan has integrated LED driving/daytime running lights into the front fascia and an EU-mandated fog light LED in the center of the rear diffuser. And till the Japanese automaker comes out with the official details, we can enjoy the spy shots of the four cars in the new Aurora Flare Blue Pearl, Black, Grey and White colors and a video clip as well:
