Tantalizing Spy Shots Of 2011 VW Passat Surfaced Ahead Of Paris Motor Show

The German website, Auto Bild, brings us brand new shots of the upcoming 2011 Volkswagen Passat. The state-of-the-art 2011 Volkswagen Passat is preparing itself to grace the Paris Motor Show to be held later this year. If the spy shots released are to be believed, you need to widen up your personal-auto design language before feeling the sedan in September this year, says an auto expert.

Volkswagen may start sending the new car to the market by the end of this year, shortly after making its debut at the Paris Motor Show. The new 2011 Volkswagen Passat is expected to arrive, according to media reports, in two versions: sedan and station wagon. The Passat, with a thought-provoking facelift, will however not offer anything additional in its shape. If you look at Auto Bild’s shots and integrate them with your imagination, you may find that the new car looks quite similar to the new 2011 Touareg. A sturdy-horizontal demeanour of the Passat may even remind you about the Phaeton.

The detailed technical specs of the 2011 VW Passat have not yet been announced; however, one 1.2 TSI engine delivering 105 hp will drive the powertrain of the car’s entry-level version. Later versions of the VW may see the incorporation of a 2.0 TDI engine and a 2.0 TFSI engines for producing upwards of 211 hp.
