The 45th Anniversary Camaro Convertible was Sold for $150,000
At the Barrett-Jackson 10th Annual Florida Auction that took place earlier this month the very first 45th Anniversary Chevrolet Camaro Convertible VIN 001 was sold for $150,000. There was one good reason why the buyer offered so much for the car that is powered by a a 6.2-liter V-8 mated to a six-speed manual transmission. All proceeds from the sale will benefit the Barbara Ann Karmanos Cancer Institute.
The Anniversary Camaro featured several additions including a unique hood, deck stripes, badges on the front fenders; 20-inch dark silver wheels, dark silver trim around the fog and tail lights; a Jet Black interior with leather-trimmed seats bearing the 45h Anniversary logo; white instrument panel and door trim inserts; red, white, and blue stitching throughout the cabin; and a unique steering wheel and sill plates with more 45th Anniversary logos.
A one-of-a-kind 2012 Chevrolet Corvette Grand Sport will be offered at the fundraising dinner organized by the Barbara Ann Karmanos Cancer Institute. This model managed to raise a staggering $ 600,000 at a previous Vette at a charity auction and is expected to fetch even more than the Anniversary Camaro Convertible.
