Toyota has started handing out its menu for 2011. And going by the looks of it, things are about to get costlier.

For a start, the Japanese automaker has given the Highlander a brisk promotion and introduced the new 2011 Highlander and Highlander Hybrid mid-size SUV. Both the models will showcase a standard 50/50-split third row with rear climate control, and a whole entertainment boost with the new Tech Audi package featuring a USB port, integrated satellite radio, a Bluetooth hands-free phone and audio streaming. The new models will also undergo a change in terms of the front fascia, hood and fenders.

The 2011 Highlander will be gifted with Toyota’s brake override system: the standard Smart Stop Technology. The Highlander Hybrid gets a new 3.5L gasoline engine as well. The suggested retail price (MSRP), increased by quite a few hundred dollars, now stands at $27,390 for the base four-cylinder two-wheel drive model of the 2011 Highlander, $33,150 for the SE V6 two-wheel drive one, and $36,345 will get you the Limited V6 four wheel-drive model. The base model of the Highlander Hybrid has an MSRP of $37,290, and the Limited model credits $42,945.

The Prius, Venza and FJ Cruiser have received slight price bumps too. The Prius mid-size hatchback will start at $23,050 for the Prius Two model while the Prius Five model commands $28,320, a hike of $250 each. Venza mid-size crossovers add on another $200, so the four-cylinder FWD model starts at $26,475 while $29,750 will suffice for the V6 AWD one.

The FJ Cruiser receives a parallel feature bump to correspond with its $1,100 price jump. With the added brake override system, improved passenger access and a better audio system, the FJ Cruiser will range from $25,090 for the 2WD model to $26,680 for the 4WD model with automatic transmission.

The 2011 Highlander will start rolling off to showrooms on September 24, while the 2011 Venza will be available in early October. The Prius and FJ Cruiser will be held off till late November.
