Ford has launched in its website, an online tool to fully customize the 2010 Mustang. The customization can be done through Fords website and allows anyone to design their own dream Mustang. Other than the color, there are a number of exterior and interior options to be customized to the personal tastes. The customization software keeps a copy of the customized car online so that one can keep drooling at it over and over. It has a community mode which helps like minded people to get to know each other and share their Mustangs. Customizing cars is always fun. It feels like a video game for that mater. Anyone can try it out and there is a wide array of kits to be chosen from.

The customization web tool is flash based software that allows one to change the color of the car, the body kit, add graphic vinyl and paint stripes as you wish. The customization is not limited to the appearance. One can even choose the burnout size he or she want to leave behind and even the texture of the rubber you want to leave behind. The other options include customizing spoiler sizes, hoods, hood scoops, front grille.

2010 Mustang - Customizing Options
The 2010 Mustang price range start from around 20,000 dollars. The car offers a fuel economy of 18 miles per gallon in the city and around 26 miles per gallon on the highway. It comes with either a 4.0 liter V6 or a 4.6 liter V8 or the top of the range 5.4 liter supercharged V8 engine that comes with the GT500. The GT500 also gets 19 inch wheels made of forged aluminum. The 2010 model sees a mild visual upgrade while retaining the half a century old Mustang looks. The latest generation gets a very aggressive front nose. The side of the car seems to have lost a bit of its aggression. The car comes with an option of three gearboxes. The only automatic box available is a five-speed transmission. A five-speed manual is on offering and the top spec car gets the option for an advanced six speed manual gearbox.

Also to chose from, are a range of Roush body kits. The customization has become popular, and the site is reported to get a huge number hit from users who visit just from designing their own dream Mustang. The website does not allow you to purchase the car that he has customized. Incase you want your car customized, it still directs you to the nearest dealer. The online customization is just a gimmick.
