A heavily modified version of Porsche 911 Turbo named the TR-1000 is making new entries of its own in the record books of Porsche. Speed is what all motorists crave for, and the TR-1000 has just attained an epitome of it at 243.4 mph (391.7 km/h), thanks to the tuner 9ff. The 9ff TR-1000 burned the tracks of the ATP automotive testing circuit, Papenburg, Germany to become the fastest Porsche 911 in the world.

The German Porsche tuner, 9ff, is the widely appraised makers of many outrageous custom 911’s that we have seen. Their creations vary from extreme power houses to streamlined speed machines. The TR-1000 is one that equally compliments both these highlights. What powers the 9ff TR-1000 is a flat six engine with larger turbochargers and a revised ECU. It produces an insane power of 1000 hp at 7800 rpm and peak torque of 1040 Nm. Other factors aiding this exceptional performance are an improved inter-cooler, sport camshafts and a high performance exhaust system.

With that kind of awesome power the TR-1000 just accelerates from 0-100 km/h (62 mph) in a meager 3.2 seconds, and does the 100 to 200 km/h (124.3 mph) in 4.8 seconds. In the given list of specs, it also states that the TR-1000 does the 200-300 km/h (186.4 mph) in 8 sec, the 300-360 km/h (223.7 mph) in 16 seconds on its way to the top speed of 391.7 km/h (243.4 mph). To help the engine cope with the stress, there are heavily reinforced internals such as titanium con rods, titanium crank and a sport air filter.

9ff has done enough modifications to ensure the stability of TR-1000 at high speeds. The new body kit includes a front splitter, a rear diffuser, modified side skirts and a rear wing. The safety features include a high performance braking system and an adjustable sports suspension with aluminum dampers. 9ff believes the car can eventually break the 400 km/h barrier with some improved aerodynamics.

If you own a 911 Turbo, you can convert it into the 9ff TR-1000 at the cost of €130,000 ($187,000 USD).
