BMW Reveals 2012 3-Series M Sport Package
BMW has unveiled the details of the 2012 3-Series. This car is offered with standard trims and some appealing packages like the Sport Line, Luxury Line and Modern Line. And joining these packages will be an M Sport Package, which is oriented to provide the car with even more sporty feels.
In the exterior, the M Sport Package equips the car with a new, redesigned and aggressive front bumper and a rear diffuser. The package also offers side skirts and chrome exhaust tips. The car gets 18-inch alloy wheels in this package.
On the performance front, the M Sport package fits the car with stiffer anti-roll bars. The car also gets M Sports suspension, which lowers the ride height by 10 mm, thus lowering the center of gravity of the car for improved handling.
In the interior, the car is fitted with sports seats in cloth and Alcantara trim. The interior gets blue M Sport highlights and the car is also fitted with M badged pedals, footrest and door sills. Other features of the M sport package include an M leather steering wheel exclusive to the M line and an M Sport shifter for models equipped with a manual gearbox.
Customers can also choose some optional upgrades to the M Sport Package. These include an exclusive M paintjob, 19-inch alloy wheels, adaptive M Sport suspension with electronically controlled damping and larger four-piston brakes at the front.
The pricing is yet to be announced by the automaker and although all the details have been revealed, the 3 series will not be available until February next year.
