The tuners are on the wheels for a head spin to the auto world with their tuning packages giving cars unmatched performance and looks modestly carrying a wow factor. Well, many of them have well managed to succeed in their attempts and here is Mercedes tuner VATH with a new power and aero package for the SLK 55 AMG.

For a head on start, VATH replaces the standard 5.5 V8 engine with a more powerful 5.8 engine strapped with a compressor. The upgrade results to an outstanding performance figures that scale upto 416 kW (557 bhp / 565 PS) and 770Nm (568 lb-ft) of torque from the earlier  265 kW (355 bhp / 360 PS) and 510Nm. The 0 – 100km/h sprint has not been mentioned, however, so much power is expected to shoot the engine to a top speed of 310km/h (193 mph).

The other engine upgrades include sports pistons, sports distribution shafts, exhaust manifolds, catalysts of high-grade steel, sports exhaust silencers, polished cylinder heads, a sports air filter and a long-stroke crankshaft, and finally some ECU modifications.

The exteriors too get VATH’s special treatment that gives the SLK 55 black carbon fibre front lips and a rear diffuser with large fins. The interiors sport carbon fibre trims.  The tuner offers in its package 19-inch wheels with tires size 235/35 and 275/30 (front-rear). Also fitted is a high performance six-piston brake system with 378-millimeter brake disks.

The oil burning prices are no less than €30,785 (US$42,037) for the engine upgrade alone. You want more, you pay the price!
