Tuning Packages For 2013 Scion FR-S Released

Alongside the release of the new Scion 2013 FR-S rear-wheel-drive sports coupe, the tuning industry is also getting ready for its U.S. market launch. One of the first to release the tuning package for the 2013 Scion FR-S was the Five Axis, not long after Scion announced pricing for its first rear-wheel drive model. FIVE: AD (Five Axis Design) — the production arm of Five Axis already developed styling tweaks for the new Scion model that will be soon available through Scion dealerships. The styling consists of an aero kit including a new front spoiler, rear valence, a trunk lip spoiler, side skirts and more. Apart from these, Five Axis Design also offers 19-inch alloy wheels and a sport suspension that lowers the coupe’s ride height. The aero kit has been developed inspired by last year’s FR-S concept that was also produced by Five Axis. The pricing details of the tuning packages are yet to be announced by FIVE: AD.

The 2013 Scion FR-S is powered by a 2.0 liter naturally-aspirated 4-cylinder horizontally opposed engine, provided with Toyota’s D-4S injection system. The engine in turn generates 200-hp at 7,000 rpm with a highest torque of 151 lb-ft at 6,600 rpm and is combined with a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic. Sales of the 2013 Scion FR-S will start in the spring of 2012 and will start at $$24,930.
