Thoughtful personal technology is something that ‘Buick‘ as a brand has always been associated with but a 7-channel, 9-speaker Bose audio system is definitely something to get excited about. Taking full advantage of the 2012 Buick Verano’s quite-tuned interior (Buick is known for its use of noise-reducing and noise-cancelling materials and technologies) is the premium sound system that is capable of crystal clear reproduction of music with tonal balance and detail without having to crank up the volume.
We hear that creating the system started with the company’s ‘clean sheet’ approach with the car’s interiors completely analyzed before tuning and equalizing the system. Engineers listened to a variety of test recordings on Verano’s sound system during the equalization process and thousands of acoustic measurements were taken before the system was finally ready for production. The Verano may be the smallest and cheapest Buick available but the audio system makes the sedan as luxe as a luxury sedan could possibly get.
The 2012 Buick Verano will be offered in three trim-levels with all models powered by an Ecotec 4-cylinder engine making 180-hp and 171 lb-ft of torque and mated to a 6-speed automatic transmission. Prices start at $23,470 for the vehicle with the system offered as standard on any leather-appointed Verano and as a $595 stand-alone option on all other variants.
