After its debut at the Geneva Motor Show, which is sometime in May, the Skoda Citigo in a five-door version will be available in European markets. The Citigo was first introduced in SKODA’S home market the Czech Republic in 2011 and it represents SKODA’S entry into the fast growing subcompact segment. The Citigo is expected to conquer new customer groups for SKODA and contribute to the brand’s growth strategy.
Powered by a three-cylinder petrol engine with one litre of displacement in two versions with 44 kW/60 hp or 55 kW/75 hp, the Citigo in its most efficient Green tec variant, gives a mileage of 4.1 l/100 km. CO2 emissions in the new ŠKODA model amount to just 96 g CO2/km. In terms of design it looks like the designers have placed a lot of emphasis on safety. Sporting the brand’s new logo this smallest member of the ŠKODA family has recently been voted the Best City Car in the largest Czech poll, the Car of the Year 2012.
