Honda Unveils 2012 Honda Gold Wing
Honda unveiled its updated 2012 Gold Wing, which will hit the roads in May 2011. The revised 2012 Honda Gold Wing comes with a sportier, slightly more aggressive look with its reshaped taillight and new dual vents above the dual headlights.
The company has made several significant revisions for the 2012 Gold Wing. The 2012 version is devoted to the rider environment and styling while the 1832cc, horizontally opposed six-cylinder engine remains unchanged.
The new, sleeker side fairing/radiator panel in a silvery finish creates a two-tone color scheme on the four available colors, blue, black, red and white. The restyled panel also features a new Honda logo that resembles the one you find on CBR1000RR.
The Japanese automaker has increased the saddlebag capacity by 7.0 liters boosting its total storage space to 150.0 liters. The non-airbag models of Gold Wing will also feature a central storage pocket. The company has also increased the fuel capacity of the vehicle from 6.6 gallons to 6.7 gallons.
The 2012 Gold Wing comes with an iPod plug ‘n’ play. The iPod/MP3 player interfaces with the bike via a connector in the trunk. The vehicle also features Honda Satellite Linked Navigation System with a brighter color screen. In this motorcycle the riders can share their route with their friends and other riders with the programmability for sharing favorite ride routes.
Honda has priced the 2012 Gold Wing between $23,199 and $28,499 depending on the options package.
