Ducati Unveils MotoGP Open-Spec Desmosedici GP14
Italian motorcycle maker Ducati has unveiled its new MotoGP Open-spec Desmosedici GP14. The bike comes with a 1,000cc V4 engine that can generate a power of over 235hp on tap, capable of propelling it to a top speed in excess of 205 mph.
The vehicle that weighs around 160 kg features an Ohlins inverted 48mm fork and Ohlins shock absorber. The bike will have Bridgestone 16.5″ front and rear tires. When it comes to the brakes, the motorcycle will feature Brembo, two 320mm carbon front discs with four – piston calipers and single stainless steel rear disc with two-piston caliper.
MotoGP is the top-tier two-wheeled racing championship, with an eighteen-round season kicking off on March 23 in Qatar before heading to Texas next month. The new Desmosedici from Ducati will be campaigned by factory riders Andrea Dovizioso and Cal Crutchlow and by privateers Andrea Iannone and Yonny Hernandez.
